I vowed last night I will never fly Ryan Air ever again… 4 hour delay and not arriving home till 4:10am was not an ideal start to the weekend. But alas it is here, and its beena pretty amazing week. So far the new job appears to be a good move, I did not panic on the flights, I was pretty relaxed and chilled out and actually fell asleep for part of the flight back from Budapest.
The company does really work you hard though, I heard from my colleagues that the average working week for our team is 70+ hours but that is what I wanted to do, I knew it would be hard and I would be travelling all over and thats exactly what I wanted, the high paid job with the super amount of responsibility that requires work and effort in order to succeed.
The very nice Sky man woke me up this morning to come and fit the new dish, unfortunately it turned into a none job as the buidling is too high and has a special requirement or something… I did think for a second I should try and understand the problem but decided actually it not my problem just fix it please mr sky people.
Few more hours sleep and a nice relaxed coffee in cafe nero, but alas cafe nero was full and had what can only be described as “plebs” in it (yes im getting more middle class almost daily…. with wanting to fly BA, almost crying about having to go to Stansted ariport and having just done my shopping in M&S think its deffinately going that way…. or is it).
I have a problem…. there you go I admit it…. wel ok I have god damn thousands of problems bu one problem is starting to get worse and I am not really sure why I have the problem in the first place. Now dont laugh, but im kinda clautraphobic, now its not a phobie of being in a tight place, as i’m a former caver I can do tight spaces and restrictive movement stuff, but I can’t do too many people in an area, so for instance Cafe Nero didnt work for me as there were too many people sitting close together in the cafe. Likewise trying to get through the crowds in the shopping area actually changed my shopping habbit such that I decided M&S would be less busy as it is more expensive, and I was right!
I am not really sure where this is stemming from but as I sit here I am actively considering moving much further away from where I am today, as in countryside type area away from the hustle and bustle of London, which kind of defeats the point of living here as I like the cafe culture and the accexibility of the areas such that I can if I want go and see my friends (well could if I had any).
Funnily enough I was talking to a good friend of mine this morning and it appears I am not the only guy that has this weird ability to push people away, he was telling me he has the same issues and no one would come out with him today, now if he didnt live far away I would have loved to as I actually like the guy. Intead I find myslef in a Starbucks (yes im scraping the barrel) drinking inferior coffee writting my blog entry on my nice shiny new work laptop – that I must admit is very nice and an ultra lightweight thingy! Ita one of those days where its deffinately winter, after a few really nice days in Budapest with 20 degree sun to come back here where its not anything outside, its such a dull day I cant even tell you what type of day it is other than a day where you would have probably been better staying in bed and cuddling your loved one…. if you are lucky enough to have one.
