I was once told the definition of being promiscuous is sleeping with more than 6 people a year. Now in gay boy terms thats a bad year! Honestly I have probably slept with more than 6 people a year for a few years. This I believe is normal. When going for sexual health screening they never roll their eyes when I tell them I have had 3-4 partners this past 6 months. In fact I recall one conversation when I was asked how many partners and the lady said “is that all” kind of indicating maybe I wasnt getting enough!
\nNow I’m not a whore and don’t sleep with every tom dick and Harry. Only people I know and trust. And never have I done the one night drunken stand. That’s just wrong. I have been on first dates and ended up in bed. But that I can rationalise. We all have urges! And needs!
\nAs previously stated sometimes you just have that connection with people and it works. Even if you don’t end up sleeping with them the first instance. It will probably happen in the second or third \ud83d\ude09
\nThe point of this post is not to boast as to how many I have slept with, that’s not important. It’s about the right calibre of people. I admit I’ve done bad things and felt awful after the event. But if you have a clear selection criteria and are sensible then this never needs to happen. You shouldn’t have to beet yourself up about doing something you enjoy if its someone you respect and appreciate.
